THIS IS A GREAT SPEAKING ACTIVITY, CREATIVE, PERSONAL AND PERFECT FOR PRACTICING DESCRIPTIVE LNGUAGE AND CONDITIONALS
This blog has been created to serve as a humble resource for secondary school English teachers looking to make their spoken English activities more fun and creative. Rather than rigid and boring exercises, I aim to incorporate improvisation and games to encourage students to express themselves in English. I offer ideas and provide solutions. All activities are just a starting point. Teachers can adapt them to their needs.

ADJECTIVES ENDING IN -ED OR -ING
THIS TOPIC CAN BE PRACTISED THROUGH TWO TYPES OF QUIZ-STYLE EXERCISES; THE IDEA IS TO MAKE IT CHALLENGING
ANOTHER TYPE OF GAME TO PRACTISE THE ADJECTIVES
How a round works: A card flips with an -ING adjective (e.g. terrifying, satisfying, captivating...) and a hint example. The timer counts down. When time's up, a judge screen appears so the teacher or a designated judge can accept or reject each answer with one tap. Points are awarded and the scoreboard updates instantly.
